OKLAHOMA AERONAUTICS ACADEMY IS AN FAA  PART 61 FLIGHT TRAINING FACILITY.

WHERE YOU HAVE THE CHOICE OF INSTRUCTORS AND THE PACE OF THE TRAINING IS TAYLORED BY THE STUDENT BASED ON HIS/HER DESIRES AND ECONOMIC SITUATION. THE COURSE HAS FAA MANDATED LEARNING GOALS THAT THE STUDENT PILOT MUST COMPLETE IN ORDER TO BE APPROVED FOR THE WRITTEN KNOWLEDGE TEST AND THE FINAL FLIGHT CHECK FOR THAT PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE.

THE FAA ALLOWS FOR A PILOT TO BECOME AN INSTRUCTOR PILOT ONCE HE/SHE ACHEIVES THE COMMERICAL PILOT CERTIFICATE AND PASSES THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT CIRCULLUM AND THE ASSOCIATED WRITTEN AND FLIGHT TEST. THESE PILOTS, ALTHOUGH WELL TRAINED ARE ONLY REQUIRED TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 250 HOURS OF FLIGHT EXPERIENCE TO BE ELIGIBILE FOR THE COMMERICAL AND INSTRUCTOR PILOT CERTIFICATES.

BECOMING A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR NOT ONLY PROVIDES THE STUDENT PILOT WITH AN "AUTHORIZED" INSTRUCTOR BUT ALSO PROVIDES THE INSTRUCTOR A PATH TO THE NECESSARY 1,500 HOURS OF FLIGHT EXPERIENCE TO ADVANCE TO THE AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT CERTIFICATE FOR ELIGIBLITY FOR EMPLOYMENT WITH AN AIRLINE.

HERE AT THE OKLAHOMA AERONAUTICS ACADEMY ALL OF OUR INSTRUCTORS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF THE COMMERICIAL PILOT CERTIFICATE AND HAVE AT LEAST 500 HOURS OF LOGGED FLIGHT EXPERIENCE. OUR INSTRUCTORS MAIN DESIRE IS TO HELP THE STUDENT PILOTS LEARN AND TO BECOME WELL ROUNDED, SAFE AVIATORS. ALTOUGH CHANGES IN THE INSTRUCTORS EMPLOYMENT IS INEVITABLE, THE STUDENTS NEEDS ARE FIRST IN THE ACADEMY'S MIND.

OUR PROGRAM IS NOT AN FAA "MINIMUM STANDARD" ENDEVOUR OUR GOAL IS TO TEACH AIRMANSHIP BEYOND THE FAA MINIMUMS AND TO HELP THE STUDENT BE AN ACOMPLISHED PRIVATE PILOT WITH A SAFETY MINDSET WITH THE BEST AERONAUTICAL DECISION MAKING SKILLS,  AS WELL AS A PILOT THAT IS READY TO PROGRESS ON TO ADVANCED PILOT CERTIFICATIONS AND BE A MEANINGFUL MEMBER OF THE AVIATION COMMUNITY.
